progressive sequence -aspect ratio

Post by efratvital »

my footage i s 1440x1080, 16X9, progressive.25 fps
in the neat video window it appears as 4:3
frame 1080X1080 8 bit RGB
why does that happen?
is that ok?

If Neat Video shows a frame of different size that means the host application (FCP) gives such a frame to the plug-in. The home application determines the size, not plug-in. I guess the frame is of different size because the sequence settings are different than the properties of the original clip. In any case, please check the project and sequence settings. The size is determined there, on the side of the host application.

Thank you,

It certainly can be. Try to skip cropping for a test.

Perhaps reducing noise before cropping would resolve the problem then.
