I suggest that we close this problem.
I have tried a few additional things to see if I can reproduce the problem - tests with the original video and audio. The closest I can get to the problem, at this point, is to try to open the original Encore project that was having the problem. The project did open once, after an extremely long time, but for the other times, caused Encore to hang. So, perhaps the project became corrupted.
