Flicker From Fluorescent Lights

Post by MuhV »

I’ve been told that Neat can “repair” the flicker from fluorescent lights. My footage has this flickering that appears like horizontal bands spanning the entire shot and seem to progressively move downwards. Only the portions of the shot affected by the fluorescent lights exhibit this banding/flickering. How would I co about using Neat to fix this? I’ve tried the presents for flicker and banding with no luck.

I understand that I should have used a different shutter speed and/or frame rate when filming. Unfortunately, I didn’t do it at the time.

Thanks!

I don't think that that type of image imperfection can be treated efficiently by the noise filter of Neat Video. The flicker doesn't look like noise to the filter so it will not be reduced as efficiently as the regular random noise.
