What should I consider for max Neat Video support?

Post by Srivas »

Hi!

I'm considering a laptop upgrade and one of my main concerns is to get a full performance from Neat Video filter. Right now I'm quite behind, I have a 4 year old Samsung RF711 laptop with a i7-2820qm cpu and Nvidia 540m graphics, 8gb ram. I use Vegas Pro 12 And Neat Video 3.1

The problem is that at this configuration, Neat (or incompatible hard and software) slows my projects down and the processor is working between 60-30%.

Since I need an upgrade anyway, and it has to be a laptop, what should I keep in mind while choosing a new configuration? What models of graphics, memory, version of Neat Video etc.?

How much role does the graphics card play and what models can accelerate the processing the most, when using Sony Vegas 12 (or newer)?

Thanks for any help.

Please update your copy of Neat Video to the latest version 3.6, run the Optimize test in Neat Video Preferences and then post the results here.

Thank you,
Vlad

You can do that using the original download instruction and v3 license that you received after purchasing the v3 product.

Thank you,

also from experince, make sure you select a scene which has a lot of noise. as ive noticed neat video has a performance difference depending on how much noise there is on the screen you have up.

plus you need to accept the changes and apply.
