Mac After Effects to Media Encoder

Post by dfort »

I'm starting a project that needs lots of cleanup work so I purchased Neat Video for After Effects, Macintosh version. I'm using the latest After Effects CC version (still on the 30-day trial for AE) release 2014.2 - 13.2.0.49.

The issue is that any composition with NV applied will not export to Media Encoder. In addition, if any composition in the AE project has NV applied, that project cannot be opened with Media Encoder. Dragging from AE to Media Encoder does work but the render fails with "Could not read from the source. Please check if it has moved or been deleted." Nothing was moved or deleted and the AE composition seems fine.

The work around I'm using is to export a "lossless QuickTime" from AE and run that through Media Encoder to make a ProRes QuickTime.

Any help with this? I'm on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013) with 16GB RAM running OS X Yosemite 10.10.1.
