Resolve & Neat & MacPro 2013 - speed issue

Post by PierreEmmanuel »

- I have a 4K source in resolve Lite, but my timeline is HD 30fps
- I have a MacPro 2013 8 cores, 32gb

When I run the tests, it says 6fps CPU only
12 FPS CPU + one GPU D700
9 FPS CPU + 2 GPUs D700

Which .. in itself is weird..

but,

If I render my movie (one node for simple S curve + one node with NeatVideo) with CPU only I get 6fps

If I use one CPU and one GPU, I get 7.5fps

If I render without the Neat plugin I get 47fps.

I do not get these figures at all, is there something wrong with my config ?

Oh, and one more thing:

If I enable 16 cores, only 8 are actually used (looking at the CPU stats)

It would help if posted the whole log from Optimize.

Please also note that Optimize shows the speed of Neat Video itself, not the speed of Resolve render. Resolve render involves more than Neat Video and therefore is always slower, that is to be expected.

Some new CPUs are really fast and that is a good thing. Please do not worry, that is normal for that CPU and those GPUs, at least for now, in the current version of the filter.
