Post by AndCycle »

now I am gonna purchase the third,

so I wanna know is there any benchmark chart for reference?

I have no idea which to buy for a reasonable choice. :?

Sorry, we don't have a nice chart readily available but perhaps GTX 780, 780Ti, Titan, 690 or AMD 7970/7990 could be a good choice.

7970 is about the same or slightly better than 580.

The scalability is good but it is of course better to have one fast GPU instead of two ore more slow ones.

According to our tests, Titan is ~24% faster than 7970 when working in GPU only mode (1920x1080, radius 1, 8 bits/channel) and about 15-17% faster for radius 5. Results differ from computer to computer and depend on many factors, but I hope that at least these figures give you some information on how these two cards compare.

thanks for the reference data, Tim :D

Titan cost around $1100,
7970 cost only $300,

as the price difference,
I think I will buy two computer with 7970

A quick test with an i7-950, 12 GB, and a PNY GTX 770 enthusiast edition, with 2 GB memory.

A 1:00 (60 second) HDV clip on a 1440x1080 timeline, default NV noise reduction applied, but no other effects applied. Time is to export to file.

With no GPU, 4 CPU cores - 6:35
With GTX770 enabled & 1 CPU core - 3:23
With no effects or filters - 0:11
