squeezed frame

Post by finnw »

Dear Support and Community,

by processing the "normal" DV Avi in Premiere CS3 I get always as a Preview a squeezed Frame (same with but very small heigth). If I choose a noise sample, it's telling me, the choosed frame is very small, but it wouldn't if the preview would be showed normal.

The processing works very well, with really impressive results.

Is the frame squeezed because it's an interlaced footage (yeah, I used the forum search :-)) or are there any settings where that can be fixed?

Great product, but it takes a real long time to render - but with nice results...

It is not a squeezed frame, since it is not frame to start with. It is a field (upper or lower) from the interlaced video stream. This is normal for interlaced clips and projects, because Premiere itself renders individual fields, not frames.

Using smaller areas for profiling is not as good as large ones but is acceptable too. NV just informs you than if you find a frame with a larger area then the profile may be better and more accurate.

Best regards,
Vlad
