I am a student studying visual communications and find it hard to be able to afford the full price of this software. Do you offer an educational discount to students at all? I couldn't find anything on the site at all, so I apologize if I missed it.

On another note, I really want to be able to use the effect in FCP X, but seeing as that doesn't work, even through creating an effect in Motion, if I get the After Effects version, will I be able to use the FCP X version when it's compatible?

If you purchase the plug-in for AE, it will work only in AE. It will not work in FCPX or Motion. For Motion, FCP and, hopefully for FCPX in the future, you will need the plug-in for FCP, which is a separate product. So if you want to use the plug-in in FCPX eventually (once FCXP is made compatible with such plug-ins) then it is better to purchase the FCP plug-in now and use it in Motion. Motion is as good as AE from the standpoint of using it for noise reduction with Neat Video.
