Hello,
A fellow cinematographer recommended Neat Video to remove noise in a video that someone left the gain turned on. I downloaded the trial for Final Cut FX for Mac OS X and I installed it allowing the default location.
Upon opening Final cut and selecting a clip to apply the test to I found that the Neat Video Plugin does not appear in my effects.
I installed it again but still no luck.
I am on iMac with Lion 10.7.3 16GB Ram and 1TB Hard Drive.
I also downloaded for Premier Pro for Mac and still no luck.
Any thoughts? |

FCP 7 or FCP X? Should work in FCP 7; for FCP X you need another download (I can send you a link).
Regarding Premiere Pro, that plug-in should work. Please restart OSX and see if this helps.

Just both NV v3 but it doesn't appear in FCP 6 Effect list (MAc Intel 10.4.11)
Followed all installation instructions but nothing seems to work!!

After the installer of Neat Video finishes its work, there must be a new folder with all Neat Video files:
/Applications/Neat Video for Final Cut/
and also an alias:
/Library/Plug-Ins/FxPlug/NeatVideo.fxplug
Normally, that is sufficient for FCP7/6 to see the plug-in (after restarting FCP).
If FCP still doesn't see the plug-in, please try to update the PluginManager. Please use this page:
http://support.apple.com/downloads/Plugin_Manager_1_7_3

Hi Vlad
I followed your advices but nothing seems to work yet!
All the files are in place!
I downloaded the demo v2.6 from the web and works fine!
Obviously I want the pro version
Then right after I installed v3 and I no longer see the plugin in FCP
Maybe v3 doesn't work with FCP 6.0.6 (Mac OSX 10.4.11)
Can you send me v2 since I already paid!!
