I am using NeatVideo in FCP 7 and I am experiencing an issue similar to this:

except that my video levels are being clipped to 0 -> 100IRE instead of allowing super black and white. Is this an FCP thing or is there something I can do?

Do you use the RGB or high bitdepth rendering mode in FCP?

Please go to FCP's menu: Sequence > Settings > Video Processing and see which option is selected there.
