• Neat Video 3.3 for Final Cut

Added support for AMD/ATI video cards via OpenCL

In version 3.0, Neat Video added CUDA-based acceleration for NVidia GPUs.
Starting with the 3.3 update, Neat Video also can use some computation-capable AMD/ATI cards through the OpenCL interface.

Earlier, the AMD/ATI support was added in other plug-ins. Now, the same functionality is available in the Final Cut plug-in as well.

The updated version 3.3 of the plug-in includes:

• Added support for AMD/ATI GPUs (GPU acceleration is now possible with both NVidia and AMD/ATI cards)
  
  The following AMD/ATI GPUs are supported (OSX 10.7.0 or newer required):
  • ATI   Radeon HD 5770/5870;
  • AMD Radeon HD 6750M/6770M/6970M;
  • Some other models of AMD/ATI cards (please directly try the plug-in or contact support to verify)
    Note: Using the latest models of AMD GPUs is recommended for the best performance.
    
    
• Several cosmetic improvements in GUI
  
• Several compatibility issues and bugs have been fixed
  
  
  

Note: Recent FCP X 10.0.8 update has fixed the critical bug in FCP X that caused FCP X to corrupt frames when plug-ins were used.
FCP X 10.0.8 works correctly now, so we recommend updating FCP X to version 10.0.8.

• Neat Video adds support for Magix Video Pro X5

Neat Video 3.3 plug-in for VirtualDub is now also compatible with the new version of Magix Video Pro X5.

Traditionally, Neat Video plug-in for VirtualDub has been supporting VirtualDub and AviSynth. Since version 3.3, this plug-in is also compatible with Magix Video Pro X5.

If you use Magix Video Pro X5, you can find Neat Video plug-in supplied with Magix itself. Please use that plug-in to evaluate Neat Video and if you like the results please consider purchasing a license for the Home or Pro plug-in for VirtualDub to use it with Magix.
